The value is usually bout the cost of test when selling, all the pen mates will be immune, they are just like a vaccine(the positives)

Problem comes when cattle are stressed and have a carrier giving them BVD, like when you buy fly weights and comingle

They can make it to butcher weight, usually they die when you have a pen full of them with all different strains,
If fed alone you have better luck but it’s easier to throw them all together.

I’m thawing a prime rib from one right now for thanksgiving, it fed out fine.

I wouldn’t test at that weight imo
