SE ND | Has looking for a cheaper yet dependable bale processor few years ago. People who have hay busters like they, but older ones aren't as nice as newer one (newer are heavier chain and slat)
For my money the simplicity of the Highline is best bang for the buck. Chain feeder may give you a little more consistency in feeding out as my Highline 6800 can be sluggy in the output, but worth it in simplicity. Being our great Vermeer dealer sells Highline also helps.
I like the options on the new Highlines, grain tank feedings into rotor(not on windrow like haybuster) , knife system for cutting twine/net, final cut chopper option if you want it. Chain feeders are wider so since I feed in the dark on might have kids and wife feeding more soon, I like the narrower hyd turn ones. | |
