south central IOWA | Shipped my calves off this afternoon that are selling tomorrow but kept these 6 replacement heifers. I brought home this 14 year old cow from my other pasture that's thin. I wanted to give her some grain before I got rid of her anyway and this makes things easier to keep her in with these heifers if it'll work.
Will this old/ weak cow adopt these calves and let them suck her or will she just keep them calm and show them the ropes like she's doing? None of the heifers are hers.
