| You could justify hay equipment for 60 acres but you would just have to stay basic. $7k disc mower, $5k rake, and $20k baler is as crazy as you would want to get IMO. If you want, you can always cut and rake it yourself and the hire out the baling. Saves you some time and investment, but by cutting it on your schedule it forces the custom baler to show up in a timely manner. If you rely on someone to cut and bale it then you never know when they will finally get to it. Also gives you an idea of if you want to get further into it (or not) without spending a ton of money.
