Madison Co. Virginia | I was reading recently(possibly on NAT) an article about this very thing.
As we've regulated all the danger and risk out of making a living, we've seen an increasing interest in searching for danger.
Most folks never experience "One wrong step and you're instantly dead" in their workplaces. Even the concept of "If I fail at this, my family will likely starve" has been eliminated from modern society. Osha regulations, high salaries, guaranteed positions, government aid, etc., all lead to feeling bored with life, and looking for risk elsewhere. | |
