For the issue with running a little wider on one side versus the other, that is an adjustment in offsets that needs to be made. As for the 1800 searching for lines, I'm not exactly sure what you mean, are you talking about when you're going perpendicular to the AB lines and it won't show them, or when you're going down the field and the lines disappear? I would start out first by making sure you have the most current software for the display. There has been issues similar to this in the past that have been resolved in more recent versions of software updates.
