Subject: RE: Question

Alton, Ia
You're probably right oh master of the mixer.... But I would chalk that up to the production side, what I was referring to was buying and selling pigs using a floating basis and futures deal, paying yardage, etc. I was involved with that for awhile and the open market ISO wean prices pretty well give the buyer about $5 profit year round. If you locked in all your costs, sold futures, etc., it was pretty much $5 with ONLY production risk left open.

And we all know there's not much risk in production, is there? ****
