Lisbon, OH | Have been looking at a Gleaner F with a 4x30 corn head. Older gentleman owns it, but has had to quit farming. Was used last year in corn. It has the 292 with gear drive. Has had the rattle house chain, reclean elevator chain, and concaves replaced. Was up at an auction this past weekend. I put in a bid at $1500 on it, owner is wanting $2500. I don't have much corn in, and it wouldn't have much use yet this year. But, I am looking to expand some next year. Custom harvesters are pretty much non existent in this area, and some of my fields are tough to get in to with a big machine. I know that the Gleaners are pretty easy to work on. I have seen these machines priced all over the board, just wondering where I should be on this one. | |
