Subject: Fall/early spring pre ahead of strip till?

In the past we have split applied sulfentazone ahead of sunflowers, either fall applied or early spring, then coming back before emergence with the second shot after no-tilling the sunflowers.  We now run a striptill machine and knife in NH3 and I would prefer to spray the pre after the striptill pass, but was wondering if it would work ahead of the striptill, or would the herbicide get mixed too deep in the strip?  We run a mini-mole knife about 6" deep, and make an 8"-10" wide strip.  In addition to sulfentazone, we also use some metolachlor and may try some Prowl next year.
