They try to keep total control and you end up can only do what they think of, not what you want.
PC/ Microsoft started out much much more open format, here is a platform youse and modify it to do whatever you can think of.
It is funny how the Apple platforms became popular with the younger artistic 'no rules' set, while the PC/ Microsoft platform is viewed as the boring difficult business tool.....
