Lancaster, OH | I'll find out. It recommends up to a 12# whole turkey but said it could go to 18#--that's quite a range. After the chicken, I think that overnight marinade and injections would improve the flavor as the skin did not get crispy.
IMO, I think that the oil fryer would taste better, generally, because of the oil. It is also faster. But, it also takes more care for safety.
