| I've no experience with one of those combo drives, but using two drives, one SSD one traditional HDD, is a cost effective solution if you're not on a laptop and you need the extra space. Even then the price on larger SSD's is coming down enough that they're not the crazy luxury they used to be.
For a system with only one drive I'd suggest a large SSD or a combo drive.
For a desktop system capable of holding more than one I'd suggest a medium sized SSD (for your system drive) and whatever else you want for HDD's. | |
