Devils Lake, ND | Historically, solid-state drives have been faster because the computer doesn't have to "look" for a file or program; it's all right there. But is that still the case?
I see a popular option of a combo drive with a SSD boot drive, and "sata" hard disk for storage. (I think that "sata" involves a faster connection to the hard disk?) It's a somewhat less expensive option.
