NW KS/ SC ID | How long do you intend to keep the machine?
IMO for the best combine out there, get a Gleaner transverse.
For the current best value in combines, look at a MF or Challenger axial rotor. 2 weeks ago on Big Iron they sold 2 in MO for pretty cheap IMO.
Both of them (transverse Gleaner for sure, Agco Axial should be similar) will be much cheaper upkeep than red or green. There is less to go wrong, and less proprietary parts.
both unloading systems are super simple and high volume. much less wear and things to go wrong compared to red or green.
By your description, you dont exactly have the Space Shuttle Maintenance Program at your place (neither do we :) ) and I think the Lexion may demand a higher level of care and preventive maintenance than you can provide it.
Watch this video on upkeep costs and labor to do it on the Gleaner Transverse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZMs_y6d4YU&t=241s
With our current commodity prices, I think people need to be shopping smarter when looking for equipment, you need a tool not a money pit.
