All the responses you have gotten are probably true but none of them are worth it to me. It might dry out a day earlier but that doesn't trump the time, fuel and cultivator shovels I'll burn up along with the the increased erosion. The soybean roots and fodder seems to keep things in place until i'm ready in the spring. Once over with a field cultivator (and sometimes a cultipacker behind) and its ready to go.
