western mn | We dried the whole bean crop in 09, worked slick, used continuous dryer, keep heat low, make sure it keeps flowing, lots of dryers burnt because people walked away from them and pods or debris slowed flow, needs to be watched... We dumped beans into bin with power sweep, and wore the chain drive out, dryer "bin" guy laughed when I called, yep, beans wear the stuff out faster than corn, recommended we replace chain first, if we ever did it again, when we finished, I said I would do it again, it goes pretty quick, but watch dryer watch dryer watch dryer... | |
