Very good balanced presentation ,, long over due
BUT DEMocracy works because good and bad , smart and un smart pros and cons are to be discussed NOT BULLIED, stupid or not
Could you make an update
Deere now uses 3/8 inline air supply at their air bags
IS DEERE SCRAPING AIR BAG SYSTEM FOR 2018 going 100%
hydraulic? THEY SCRAPPED HEAVY DUTU DOWNFORCE SPRINGS
Inlet fitting in bag has larger inside diameter hole for air delivery
Could you calculate air speed with 3/8 delivery speed Down to minimum bag pressure of 10 psi not 0 psi
The software system I believe only allows pressure cut off at 10
How many seconds from 100 to 10psi 3/8 line not 1/8 line
You mention
You can discharge this pressure through the 1/8 pipe thread fitting on the top fairly quickly so the control reaction speed of the system is
limited by the maximum flow rate into the air bag not the flow rate out of it. Let's assume you want to size this system so that the control response is equal from an increasing and decreasing side.
Instruction manuals I believe says There Is smaller uplift bag working again larger downforce bags
Downforce bag vents while uplift bag supply's air OR Downforce bag supply's air while uplift bag vents air in opposite reaction.
Now connect 3/8 line
How long from 100psi to 10 psi
10 psi is the minimum allowed
You mentioned
To achieve a 5 second response time you will need a compressor with capacity of 7.2 CFM
You don't have to waste using hydraulics, mount a fan belt driven 7.5 CFM old style heavy duty truck compressor
Or

This compressor puts out a whopping 8 CFM at 100psi. Capable of 200psi, the unit has a greasable zerk fitting for lubrication and uses high temperatur…
