It is convenient to have wireless data transfer and remote view. Just be sure to physically make a copy of your data from the 2020 and save it for future uses if nothing else. Dont rely on just data on cc/fv cloud (or any cloud or other platform either. Not picking on any one system) You need the raw data off the monitor, not exported out of some platform.
If precision planting was capable of working with a different platform, i would bet climate corp would take a major hit.
If cc/fv does actually move forward, like the higher ups say, that it will be a platform you can use any app you want on it, it will have a much brighter future. If they continue to think a grower only needs cc/fv and nothing else, they will leave the door wide open to other ag people coming up with better solutions.
Cc/fv really is nice to have more screen real estate while planting. It could be a great scouting tool with some minor tweaks, it also needs to be much more consultant friendly. It is what makes multiple combines or planters speak to each other. (And i suspect they showed jd what their system was lacking)
