Subject: Best form of available calcium?

Nunn CO
Hello all,
Looking for a form of highly available calcium. I have herd gypsum and lime take quite a while to break down. Any other advice? Calcium use is just not that common around here.

Thanks

Edit: I'm looking for this to try a little experiment. After a little research I'm discovering that Bindweed is found in soils with higher magnesium levels and "supposablly" is a bit calsium sensitive. I'm curious to see what happens when you apply a really really lot of calsium right on the plant.
