Morris, IL | Have few old 8" and 10" straight augers we don't use much anymore, have a 10hp motor on wet auger i need to remove get new bearings in it. If i hook auger to tractor or pickup truck, chain the auger to motor would it lift and not damage auger? Shipping weight is 128lb. While don't use them much i don't want to damage of course, thinking the 10" would be stronger. Just heard of guys using augers for lifting spreaders out of bin didn't know if this would work? They are hand crank augers if that makes any difference.
