I used my 10 x 61 Westfield auger to lift up a tv tower. The tower weighed about 150 to 200 lbs and didn't seem to affect the auger. Mine has support cables on top of the tube. Remember that the weight of the corn in the last 10-15 ft can easily add 200 lbs hanging off the end of the auger.
