My BS post came off harsh. It was supposed to be more tongue in cheek, as every summer you swear IA and IL are gonna have 140 bu crops if you listened to everything you read on here. And then magically every fall its way better than ever could have imagined. I hope to have that happen this fall. Was thinking 40bu or less earlier so won't take muh to be better than expected. Haha. Basis doesn't really keep me awake at night. We know what our historical basis is. I just do what I need to do on my end to try and make a crop profitable for me. As far as us quitting growing corn up here sorry I like it as a part of a 6 or 7 crop rotation in our farm. I wish I never had to plant another cereal grain on our place again.
