iowa | OK I know I am going to get trashed here.
I have some food plots (deer) between some pastures that did not qualify for CRP. 1/2 acre corn and 1/2 acre soybeans no tilled.
The beans (dicamba) over corn stalks were burned down and then planted . I did not get any other herbicide applied. The only thing holding back the water hemp was the Canadian thistles. I could not even see my soybeans through the weed canopy.
I had planned on just mowing the soybean plot. I was rinsing out my 3 pt. sprayer getting ready to spray pastures with grazon , 24d , and clarity. I filled 50 gallons of h2O and 2.5 gal of clarity and sprayed that dam plot.
WOW! this fall there is not a weed. no broadleaf or grass in there. Happy meals for deer and pheasant!
