EC IL
Cons.
Bean leaf beatles will think your early stand is candy, but seed treatment insecticide will usually supress them. Scout for them every 2 to 3 days..

First post-spray must be early. Early preplant herbicides run out of effectiveness allowing another big flush of weeds to be emerging in mid-June just before canopy. So, make sure you have some late June control options that don't ding the beans too bad. 2nd pass of dicamba and 2nd pass of Liberty sprayed June 15 to June 21 both worked here in 2017.

You are about the same latitude as us so you probably plant a few group 2 and mostly group 3 beans. Group 2 beans will set some very low pods, making them difficult to harvest. Group 3 or later do not seem to set the low pods.

Pros - yield, and lower seeding rates.
