Brian, first, glad your dad is a key part of your operation. There are many who wish their fathers still were. Of course there is only so much you can control. I wouldn't sweat the other details in the bigger picture. The best thing you can do is show a quick positive return with your 4wd. If that's tile or working ground/grain cart capacity, then do that. I too have a father who hates 4wd tractors, but spent six figures on a nearly new MFWD. Do I blame him? heck no. It's still worth what he paid, but can it do what we need it too? No. Finding something that fits your operation is more important than the resale value IMHO.
