NEMO | I think the design of yours (small 3 inch opening and also flat) would have a lot more downward force on it than the one I pictured. (I don't know, just a guess as I'm no engineer) A lot of strength in the tee-pee design (and slide chunks to the side) and larger openings for material to go through. Also maybe it has some busting up action with the point.
Ours seemed to work good this first season(probably got lucky). Several pods wrapped around some of the rebar, but really thankful no plugged auger.
