Mn | In southern Mn, I would classify a bto as someone that is aggressive on rents, travels a ways, has a website. Maybe 7-8,000 acres and wanting more. Typically family operations but have employees. Most are very good farmers and good negotiators of inputs.
I hear a lot of "bad mouthing" of these farms, but in my experience, it comes from loosing land to them and having to compete with the rents they will pay. Curious what a landlords perspective was. | |
