I can't say whether that will fix the problem or not.  I know there is a setting in the C2100 display that shows which COM port the Garmin receiver is connected to along with the baud rate.  The baud rate is only 4800bps which makes me think that that little receiver is only bringing in NMEA sentences at a 1Hz update rate which the technical manual says is the default rate.  Pretty much all mapping and control for precision Ag requires that 5Hz rate in order to have the Latitude and Longitude information keep up with the machine as it moves across the field.

If the Garmin Receiver is like the one in the picture then it it's possible to change the update rate from 1Hz to 5Hz but I do not think there is a way to do that through the C2100 terminal to my knowledge.  You'd probably have to track down how it comes into the cab and if it has a DB9 Serial port you can hook it up to a computer to change its settings using the manual for it found here.GPS 16x™
