| Given that a fair percentage of blacks are in the lower income brackets, they tend to buy and rent homes that are less expensive. Less expensive homes tend to be in bad neighborhoods, next to steel mills, refineries, other industrial processes, and hog farms. I don't think it is racism, it is economics. Remove the hog farms, property values go up, taxes rise, people cash in on equity, they move to less expensive areas, rinse, repeat, etc.
