Subject: Silage bag question

The Green Hills of Missouri
I dislike folding the start of a bag under then putting silage on top. A real pain when it comes to the end of the bag to clean it all out, plus a waste of bag length.

Years ago when I had a neighbor chop for me and rented a Kelly Ryan they would just tie the bun on the end set the backstop and go, no folding under, then we were renting a Ag Bagger and the owner came and set it up and folded the bag under.

From experience what is the difference? A little spoiled silage from air entering through the bun on a unfolded bag? What method do you use when stating a bag, and why? Thanks.
