Iowa | I will potentially disagree on the youth model. I'm 5'6, female, been shooting my entire life and have full size guns that the stock is almost too long.
I also own some guns that the youth model was tiny and the 'regular' fits me just fine.
The best way to know is to go to a big box store and try. Have her pull up a variety of different guns and sizes to start to understand what she handle and what's the most comfortable. Make sure she tries pulling it up to her shoulder slow, fast, maneuvering around something (endcap, or the like).
You don't have to buy from the Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc, but that will be a great way to try a lot of different options. | |
