Subject: RE: Surface Drainage Software - SD Drain or WM Drain

Fargo, ND
I should stay out of this because I sell equipment. I think SD Drain is probably technically a good setup with lots of features.

WM-Drain has three buttons; Survey, Design and Install. This makes it quite simple to operate and easy to get up to speed when you start out each year. As Pape_81 says you use the Offset button to adjust grade for backsloping. Software updates from Trimble are pretty economical. I just traded in a laser on a TMX display for Deere RTK, Cat MT and 20+ yd. scraper for ditching.
