I used an Insight with Trimble and Raven GPS systems for many years. Your screen displays look correct with the proper messages enabled. I think you will be fine once you get out of the shed and wait a bit. I'm thinking you may only need the GGA and VTG messages but the Insight should just ignore any extras.

The older Ag Leader displays would get sluggish if they received too many extra messages. With those it was a matter of going into the GPS and turning off the messages that weren't needed and slowing down the BAUD rate.

You may be wondering what the box about TSIP means on the last picture. This would not pertain to you with a Starfire GPS. It deals with forcing a connection to a Trimble GPS that uses their TSIP Protocol for GPS (Trimble Standard Interface Protocol).
