Central Ohio | If it is dead, I I would first check and see if it is replaceable by warranty then it if it is not I would carefully drill a small hole in the bottom perhaps one on each side drain the water and blow air through it for a while to try to get it dried out then see if it wants to work. If it does work I would epoxy the holes shut.
