Subject: Raven viper history

C IL
Running our sprayer with a CFX750 (sometimes FMX) and Field IQ. I wouldn't call it junk - it does work decent in the middle of the field. I do have a lot of frustration with latency, overlap, flush in the corners/direction, and especially agitation/arming and disarming the pump. Quite simply, it appears Trimble got 95% of the way to having a slick product and forgot or chose not to finish the job. The agitation and PWM valve setting is a real issue. You lock on last position, you eat pumps when the tank is empty. You lock on min or zero, you leave skips. Sometimes. Sometimes you leave huge overlap.

We have Raven PWM valve, flow meter, boom valves. We use EZ steer right now.

I have an Integra and OnTrac 3 and am considering moving it into the sprayer to use Direct Command.

I also recently became slightly acquainted with the Raven Viper product line. I could stick an old RTK EZ 500 in, keep using EZ steer, and use the Viper to control the sprayer part. I am not at all familiar with the Viper history or use. Any background available here?

Thanks.
