central mich | Our sprayer has always under applied. It should do 50 acres but is doing about 60-62 per fill.
Today I checked the distance by driving from one mile section line to the next mile.
The distance reading was close to 5380 each way. So according to the manual I should adjust the speed calc.
But in the manual it states that the normal speed calc is 598 for distances between 5260ft and 5300ft.
But my existing speed calc reads 612 right now before any further adjustments. ( We have never changed it)
So it seems that my new adjusted speed calc should be measured on the 612 number.
So is the new speed calc (612 x 5280) divided by 5380? It does not seem like this factor will correct the 20% under apply rate. If so then we get 600. So perhaps the speed calc should have been at 598 in the first place? | |
