| Agree with Mrs B, When you take the source of heat away water stops boiling. With gas when you shut it off or turn it down that source is gone. With an electric stove top when you turn the electricity off it takes awhile for heat ring to cool down. Think of a torch compared to an electric soldering iron, When you shut a torch off you're done brasing, but unplug the soldering ironmyou still have enough heat in the ironmto continue soldering for a little while. | |
