I remember hauling kerosene in my wagon for Momma's cook stove. Then we moved to a house with gas. Throughout the years we have had gas, LPG and electric. My preference it definitely gas everything else. When I bought this farm, there was a gas line running across it and after looking around, I found a meter tap on the line. I called the gas co to get a meter and they told me that they were not installing meters in the country. After a few words and talking about the contract that was signed in 1928, they changed their mind and put a meter on that tap. Sure do like it.
