Nevada, Iowa | Dad used to say that farm equipment should have never been made with lights on it. I used to think how old fashioned it was to say that. Now that I am the age he was then, I fully understand.
On the serious side, I think row cultivation would work much better in full sunlight and some heat. If you're going to the trouble to do it, might as well go for maximum effect. There again, I would think that 14+ hours in a cultivator a day would be enough for anyone, even with auto steer.
Having said that, I have field cultivated plenty at night in a crunch period through weeds that would normally mortify a person and had a pretty good kill to plant into. FWIW | |
