Pilot Grove, Missouri | Cereal rye cover is a big part of my chem program. I drill my beans into tall growing rye. Spray burndown and a pre (last couple years 3.2oz of Fierce) within a couple days of drilling the beans. This year I posted with 32 oz of Interline and 3.4# AMS at about full canopy using 20gpa through red Turbo Twinjets at about 7mph and 70 psi. Had great control. Last year I only posted field borders and in 2015 I didn't post a single acre. All the rain we had this year has been real good for waterhemp. There are a lot of fields with late escapes this year, no matter what the chem program. Patrick | |
