I think you mainly would gain bushels from more weight! I rarely get any dock from splits etc, but I guess if you do, then that would be another way it would help you.

In some years, starting earlier in the morning and perhaps cutting later (the stalks usually get damp long before the beans in my fields) could add a LOT of bushels.

I can usually average the moisture i want to ship throughout the day, but that might be 16 in the morning and 10 in the evening! I try to fill trucks to average that out somewhat. (STO with one combine here) I usually do not want to bin mine, but when i do, it makes the whole moisture thing a lot easier to work even if you just have a fan to move a little air through them.
