Do you have access to dry sawdust? Also, cleaning the floor of the stalls off and then sprinkling a dusting of lime on the floor will help kill existing pathogens.

Also agree with other poster that udder prep and a good post dip help a lot. Do you have auto take-offs? If not, make sure you are not overmilking the cows. When I was milking in tiestalls by myself I would frequently end up using fewer machines than I had because I just couldn't keep up with all of them (had seven but often times if alone would only use 4-5). If you do have auto take-offs, make sure they are not overmilking the cows either. Overmilking is worse than undermilking.
