SW IN | I can think of 5 pit bull situations around me off the top of my head. Three ended with an attack on other animals, the deaths of at least 4 other dogs a calf, and at least one foal. One resulted in permanent scars on my cousin's legs. She was an adult when it happened, and they had raised the dogs from pups and never mistreated them. The last one has not caused any problems-yet.
First time dog owner, pit bull, and you have to ask how to stop it from jumping on you. I see red flags all over the place on this one.
Hunting dogs do what they are bred to do instinctively. Stock dogs herd because they were bred to herd instinctively. Isn't it the height of foolishness to believe a dog that was bred to fight and never quit lacks the instinct to do just that? | |
