Yes they grow with the cow proportionally.  You can tell every homegrown cow we have because the brand takes up her whole side.  You cut slots in the iron for heat to escape.  Basically a grinding wheel blade and take a 1/4" cut out.  Everywhere you have either two close pieces or a complete circle you need one or two, an "I" should be fine without one.  I have no idea how electric irons do it, we don't use them.  Last thing we need is a generator making noise right by the chute and an iron that won't stay hot enough in any kind of wind.



In Montana, 'I' 'Q' and a couple more letters can't be in a brand.
