Lac qui Parle County Minnesota
Our Escape does the same thing. It has to do with a vent that is inadequate. Also happens on our ambulance rig (also a Ford, same year of manufacture). When there is less pressure at the nozzle, it works fine. Somebody told me once that if the underground tanks are full there can be a little more pressure at the nozzle causing the nozzle to kick out. Not sure if one can change the tank vent size. We usually pull the nozzle way out and put it on the lowest notch.
