You have to buy Litchi, they've had problems on and off too with DJI constantly pushing new firmware with little or no documentation of what has been changed.Your best option is roll back to an older app - then turn off updates.
This is easy in Android, less so on iOS but still do-able.

You don't normally have to update firmware either, just ignore the message about it.

I have Go4 firewalled, it knows nothing of such things and has not updated since February.
It was a similar story with the Phantom 3, they can't resist constantly adding more goofy stuff until you need a top end phone to run it.
