Boy that sucks! So what do you have to do if you need something major?

Must be the law no insurance out of state??

I think Blue Cross Blue Sheild is still going, but I'm sure the Big Two are trying to push them out!

Fred - 8/3/2017 17:53 I don't know anything about that insurance. But here in SE South Dakota there 2 major hospitals. Both own/run insurance companies. Competing insurance companies are about gone. What will happen when the hospital says we won't take your insurance?? I've never seen a starving Insurance agent or CEO.

Honestly I've always thought that the hospital/clinics should be the ones providing the healthcare plans.

If nothing else it should eliminate an unnecessary layer of billing.

What really gets me is that all of our local hospitals in IA are affiliated with the two SD hospitals and neither of them offer health plans in Iowa.

Most of the health plans in Iowa do not include the SD hospitals/clinic/doctors as "In network providers".      It sucks and is one of the many things that needs fixing.
