E. CO, exactly half way between NE and OK | We had one that my dad bought a a farm sale with our neighbor's name on it. His name was on a brass tag soldered onto the can. My mother used it for a nest for the chickens when we had chickens. The neighbor died about 1956 and a couple years ago a crop ins salesman called up and told me what his name was and that his family used to live in our area. I told him I had a cream can with his grandpa's name on it and I would give it to him and he was glad to get it. His grandpa died before he was born but his dad and uncles were still alive. One of his uncles is the guy that builds the Mullen Steel guitars. I think the can is worth more to the family than outside rusting. |
