KY | The aorta comes to the back of the body and branches into 5 segments and one branch turns into the median sacral artery that supplies the tail. At that branching some animals have a lot of trouble with clots developing and obstructing blood flow. Mainly happens in cats and affects them a lot more drastically, but it could possibly happen in cattle.
