north central Iowa, Hampton | I try to have 4 - 5 things in my mind that I want the interviewer to know about me. There are probably things on your resume (at least there are on mine) that could be seen negatively--I want to make sure I present the "positive" answer to any of those things. I want the interviewer to know what makes me--me.
I practice answers to those sort of questions. Sometimes you don't get the questions you want to hear. Answer the question, but try to transition to an answer you want to give.
I try to get to the interview sight 20 - 30 min early so I know where it is. Then I'll usually drive by and park a ways away so I can take a walk to clear my head and breathe.
Before I hit the interview room, I stop. Breathe deep, relax my shoulders and smile confidently before going through the door.
Good luck!
